FC Andorra, Piqué’s team, will not be able to play at the National Stadium next season, not even temporarily, while a stadium is being built or while the Andorran Football Federation (FAF) complex in Encamp is being finished, as confirmed by Alain Cabanes, Andorra’s Secretary of State for Sports and Youth.

“The government will help find a suitable site for them, as this will allow them to start the season properly, but it won’t be the National Stadium,” the secretary confirmed.

Gerard could not help but reply furiously

“I have invested more than four million euros to make the National Stadium suitable for ‘La Liga’ to let us play and now you kick us out. In Andorra there is no stadium with the optimal conditions to be able to compete next season. Thank you for expelling us from the country. We have no other solution but to leave and change the name of the club, said the Catalan on his official Twitter account.
