With the announcement of the upcoming release of the Marvel Cinematographic Universe, fans have been very excited about the confirmation of the ‘Fantastic Four‘ movie, and one of the most recent statements from its director has the followers of this story with great expectations.
The renowned American director Matt Shakman has presented to fans this upcoming superhero film, which is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 2nd, 2025, as a unique production among all the film production company’s productions in a recent interview.
“It’s different in a lot of ways. I wish I could go into more detail. I wish I could tell you more, but we are doing things in a very different way both from a plot point of view and from a cinematographic point of view that really fits the material (…) I think it will be something different from anything you’ve seen before“, shared the filmmaker.
He has also made it clear in his conversation with Collider that he has not rested, not even during the Hollywood writers’ and screenwriters’ strike, since he has focused on working on everything related to production design and world building for his next release, which will begin filming next year.
“You know, how do you translate all those skills into live action in a dynamic way? Because some things that work wonderfully with John Byrne and Jack Kirby are a little bit harder to adapt (…) There are some things that have me excited, but I can’t tell you anything else“.
