The NCT 127 guys are not new to slaying the stage on every single performance. Since their debut, our Kpop kings have given choreography, raps and vocals left and right.
This is no exception for their latest collection of bops, their 5th album “Fact Check,” which was dropped yesterday. But plot twist! It looks like it was never super easy for our boys, especially in their debut era.
Flashback to 2016: NCT 127 dropped “Fire Truck,” from their first album, and back then it snatched every single wig possible. This bop was an experimental mix of rap, R&B, and electronic dance music. And of course, if a song and a video give everything, the choreo has to slay as well, right?
Well, some of the NCT 127 guys agreed on that one. They spilled the tea about that difficult choreo in the K-Star Next Door show. During the interview, members Haechan, Johnny, Jungwoo, and Doyoung gave us that flipping hot tea about how they literally smashed the floor for the choreography of their debut single, “Fire Truck.”
Haechan opened the confession box first, saying “Let’s be honest our choreographies are the hardest in SM.” Then, the host showed a dance practice clip of the NCT 127 boys dancing to Fire Truck, and let’s say it brought some painful memories!
“Yuta had to told Haechan. He injured his knee after that. It’s been 7 years now and that choreography is the hardest since we debuted,” the members collectively agreed.
Due to this reason, it comes as no surprise that NCT 127 decided to conveniently wipe off Fire Truck from the entirety of the setlist for their Neo City – The Link Tour, which wrapped up in January this year – and we truly don’t blame them. That’s some hard dancing and gravity skills you have to serve every time.
