Ed Sheeran has gained a lot of attention not only for his latest album release, ‘Autumn Variations’ but for his controversial comments about how he is ready for the afterlife. Fans around the world were frightened after reading the explanation behind his comments.
The British artist had a convo with GQ this week where he revealed he has a gravesite in his backyard and added it’s not a crypt, he explained that the area is also a chapel for friends who have gotten married there.
“It’s a hole that’s dug in the ground with a bit of stone over it, so whenever the day comes and I pass away, I get to go in there. People think it’s really weird and really morbid, but I’ve had friends die without wills, and no one knows what to do.”
“When I went through a difficult time at the start of last year, writing songs helped me understand my feelings and come to terms with what was going on, and when I learned about my friend’s different situations, I wrote songs, some from their perspectives, some from mine, to capture how they and I viewed the world at that time. There were highs of falling in love and new friendships among lows of heartbreak, depression, loneliness, and confusion.”
Ed Sheeran is just preparing everything just in case by leaving his desires when he passes away and explaining there’s nothing to worry about for now. You can watch one of his phenomenal performances for “Autumn Variations” below:
