Spotify founder reveals the truth about Meghan Markle and the cancellation of her podcast

After the controversial announcement of the cancellation of Meghan Markle‘s podcast on the Spotify platform, many have wondered about the real reason behind this unexpected decision, and one of the founders of this company has revealed to the public the reasons that caused the end of the alliance with Prince Harry‘s wife.

In a recent conversation with the well-known British network BBC, the co-founder of the streaming platform, Daniel Ek, shared the real reasons why the podcast titled ‘Archetypes‘ by the former member of the British royal family ended after having only one season.

According to the company known for its extensive musical catalog, there were several inconveniences that caused the end of this association with the Duchess of Sussex, some related to the content of her program and how little beneficial it was for the platform.

The truth of the matter is that some of this has worked, some of it hasn’t. We’re learning from it and moving forward and wish everyone who didn’t renew the greatest possible success in the future. We made million-dollar mistakes in an attempt to establish ourselves as the top competitor in the industry. This was stated by our financial analysts“, said Daniel Ek.

Although in the contract with the company the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received a sum of 20 million dollars, and it was stated that the project would have several seasons, this was concluded earlier than expected, due to the little interest it generated among the public, and the few profits it generated, being canceled by the service.

For its part, in order to generate new income after these failed projects, the possibility of actress Meghan Markle’s return to the acting industry is rumored, as well as her apparent interest in being a senator in the United States government.
