The NewJeans girls have had a huge year so far. First, they released their 2nd EP titled, “Get Up” back in July. The mini-album spawned the mega smash-hit “Super Shy,” which went on to top the charts across the globe.
Now, Bunnies, time to get up! Wonder why? Well, NewJeans has finally dropped their highly anticipated bop for League of Legends Worlds 2023. The song will serve as the official anthem for this year’s world championship – and it’s the bop we didn’t know we needed.
The track, titled “GODS,” was dropped today and, as we anticipated a week ago, it showcases a change-up for NewJeans, who are serving a totally new vibe with this sound, and let’s just say it is right up our alley.
This new jam has everything to be a League of Legends anthem: a big intro, some epic background vocals that elevate the vibes to Cloud 9, and of course, NewJeans’ powerful vocals. The girls chose to bless us with a new side of their voices, proving to everybody they could slay a song with their full vocals!
GODS was dropped with an official video, and it features all that flipping hot tea about League of Legends’ previous Worlds matches. Now, if you aren’t the gamer type, no worries. We got you covered: the clip shows different League professional players battling each other, but with a twist, they be smashing the abilities of the characters in the video game!
