Taylor Swift’s new mega concert film, “The Eras Tour,” has been giving other movies major fright vibes when it comes to release dates. And it’s no surprise, Swifties got together to sell out both the tickets for her live shows as well as her movie! Here are the facts: Just in its pre-sales, Taylor’s film racked up over 25 million dollars.
Due to this, major horror film “The Exorcist: Believer” was moved to be premiered one week earlier than planned to avoid clashing with “Taylor Swift: the Eras Tour.” The director of the hyped-up new horror film, Jason Blum, spilled the tea that he too felt Tay-Tay’s power.

But this was not always the original plan! The reason? Well, James was vibing with the idea of having the two films dropping on the same date. He even tweeted out “Exorswift,” with hopes of bringing together fans of both movies, just like Barbie and Oppenheimer did with the massive “Barbenheimer.” Sadly, the director changed his mind and officially announced:
“We had this amazing Friday the 13th in October, which is the single best day to release a scary movie. Obviously, we moved off that and we bowed our head to Taylor Swift. It was too risky to see if ‘Exorswift’ was going to take or not. The one thing that scares me to death is Taylor Swift!”
Now the buzz is that the movie, which was set to drop on Friday, October 13th, will premiere a week before the previously announced date, which means it’s hitting screens on October 6th. But if you were seeing Taylor’s movie, don’t panic! “The Eras Tour” will still hit theaters on October 13th.
A smart move if you ask us, because who wants to get in a catfight with Swifties, especially on Halloween?
Look what you made me do.
