In the middle of the great success that the Netflix live-action adaptation of the manga titled ‘One Piece‘ is having, it was revealed that the creator of this story, the mangaka Eiichiro Oda, prohibited the production company from making this significant change.
With the arrival of the successful series based on ‘One Piece’, the streaming platform Netflix has earned hundreds of praise for its incredible work, as have its actors and everyone involved, who faithfully gave life to and honored this project.
However, all this was with the indispensable collaboration and supervision of the creator and mastermind behind the also anime, who was behind every dialogue and scene giving his seal of approval in order to make it a project that his fans like.
Among all this support and stipulations, the mangaka prohibited the production company from some details that could ruin the story or even its legacy, among them the prohibition of a romance between the members of the main crew.
“One of Eiichiro Oda’s stipulations was against team romances. That’s a clear no when it comes to the manga and the live-action series“, Steven Maeda shared in an interview with TVLine.
Being clear that it would be impossible for them to create a love bond between these characters, they made the first season of this story, which became a complete success that amazed both fans and specialized critics that its second season was even confirmed.
