The comedy world has always been heavily influenced by sitcoms, as they are short-lived shows that are enough to make your day.
With only about 20 minutes per episode, The Office became one of the most beloved series for everyone who watched it, and with such iconic actors and comedic plots, it’s only natural that more people would want to relive that success in reboot format.
With Greg Daniel as Showrunner, ‘The Office’ prepares for a reboot
Many people may not think it’s a good idea to see a reboot of a series as successful as The Office, but without a doubt, we can only wait and see what they have to offer.
In 2001, a British production came up with the idea of this production with Ricky Gervais as the main character. The series aired until 2003. However, the U.S. version of “The Office”, created by Greg Daniels, appeared in 2005 and became the most popular series worldwide for nine seasons.
Daniels has mentioned on several occasions the possibility of a renewal of his series, however, now it seems that this idea is close to becoming a reality. Matt Belloni, a journalist, mentioned the possibility and stated that the production of the next series will start after the Hollywood actors and directors reach a mutual agreement.
It is indicated that “The Office” is about to be premiered again ten years after its conclusion in 2013. However, it seems that the main characters will not be the same from the classic series, but will have other original actors under the direction of Greg Daniels.
What do you think about it? Do you think The Office needs a reboot? Will you watch it?
