Miley Cyrus has had a massive year so far. The pop star went on to release, arguably, the biggest hit of the year “Flowers,” then followed up with her album “Endless Summer Vacation” and is currently climbing the charts with her latest song “Usted to Be Young.”
However, it seems that the enthusiasm Miley Cyrus has for releasing music is not translating to her public appearances or live performances. In May, the “Wrecking Ball” singer affirmed she would not be touring for the time being. When asked for the reason why, she explained saying:
“Not only ‘can’t’, because ‘can’t’ is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?”
She also affirmed that stadium and arena performances were “isolating” and “not natural” for her, and told her fans, also known as Smilers, “Love you forever, I’m just on my Endless Summer Vacation.”
And it appears to be that the hitmaker applied the same thought to the offer she was given to perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in the United States. According to Variety, the singer reportedly declined to perform because she is “not in the mood” to be at any public event.
As a result of this decision, the offer was later given to Usher and he will now be the main act for the Halftime Show next year, on February 11 in Nevada, United States. A source told Variety that Miley Cyrus could do it in the future, but again, has no interest to perform at the event as of now.
