Tim Burton affirms that he will no longer work with Marvel and DC

One of the most well-known and popular directors due to his excellent work, Tim Burton, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the two large comic film companies, stating that he made a decision, which would be not to work on more films related to superheroes.

Known for his excellent works such as ‘Scissorhands‘, ‘Alice in Wonderland‘, ‘Corpse Bride‘, and ‘Charlie at the Chocolate Factory‘, this director from the 90’s era have always been characterized by a unique feature in their films, big eyes.

Movies like ‘Batman‘ or ‘Batman Returns‘ are part of the directions that Burton has taken, all of these films being a total success, but because his version of Superman was misused, the director was left completely disappointed.

This was the reason for making this decision of not to work with Marvel or DC, since it states that Disney and Warner Bros. have very little ethics with audiovisual culture, he expresses that the way in which they take important moments from cinema and use them is very dishonorable, as when they took a part of their ’90s ‘Superman‘ movie and put it into “The Flash“.

One of his most well-known and admired films is ‘Batman‘ because, along with the sequel ‘Batman Returns‘, it introduced some of the elements that would become references in films based on comics, even before Christopher Nolan‘s ‘The Dark Knight‘. However, Burton recently noted that he will never work for DC or Marvel again, and a lot of that has to do with how his version of ‘Superman‘ was used in ‘The Flash‘.
