Recently, Joe Jonas has been in the eye of the media after divorcing his ex-wife and mother of his children, Sophie Turner. The couple parted ways on September 5, with the Jonas Brother member saying that their marriage was “inevitably broken.”
However, the divorce procedures were far from over as this week the former Game of Thrones actress filed a lawsuit against Joe Jonas in Manhattan, United States. She requested the singer to return their children from the United States to England, as he had “wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained,” from her.
In response, the “Sucker” singer said through his representative that he hopes to reach a favorable agreement with Sophie Turner for the well-being of the children and that he is “seeking shared parenting with the kids.”
The situation seemed to be over for the time being, but Joe Jonas touched upon what he was going through, although he did not explicitly mention his private life. During one of his concerts with the Jonas Brothers in Philadelphia, United States, the singer dedicated the next song he was going to sing to the parents in the venue.
To introduce the song on the Jonas Brothers’ show, the artist said “This next one is all about being a parent,” before singing “Little Bird.” He also asked the audience if there were any parents in the house and later gave them a shoutout, saying “If you’re trying to have kids, best of luck. We’re rooting for you.”
As of now, neither Sophie Turner nor Joe Jonas have commented on a possible agreement that would let them both parent their children comfortably. It is speculated that the kids might have to travel since Sophie Turner has always wanted to make England her “forever home,” but Joe Jonas affirmed that his daughters were raised in the United States, which could make this a more convenient place for them to stay.
