Recently, BLACKPINK has been in the eye of the media because of their contract renewal process with their agency, YG Entertainment. The South Korean quartet has undeniably set a milestone in international music, but in spite of their status, they have remained mostly quiet regarding their future in the music industry. This situation has propelled numerous speculations about whether or not BLACKPINK could renew their contract with their company.
The lack of any confirmation coming from the girl band and the label has caused distress among all their fans since the future of the “Lovesick GIrls” singers has become increasingly uncertain. This situation comes close in time to the culmination of BLACKPINK’s “Born Pink World Tour”, which held its last two concerts in Seoul.
During the show, the vocalist and rapper, Jennie, seemed to be having a sentimental expression, as if she was saying goodbye to her fans, also known as BLINKS. In a segment of the show, the idol performed her solo song, conveniently titled “SOLO,” wearing a black veil.

Similarly, Jennie’s expression might hint at some sadness or sentimentalism, as the singer seemed to perform with a rather unconventional expression that might point out she knows something fans still do not know regarding the future of the group. In addition to that, there were other emotional moments in the concert, where the group members hugged and cried.
As of now, neither Jennie nor her fellow BLACKPINK members have provided any statements on their future plans. However, circulating rumors suggest that most members of the 4-piece band might sign contracts with companies outside South Korea.
