The beautiful Princess Diana has always been a world icon, not only because of her great personality or her fashion style, but because everything she did had a historical mark.
Apparently, despite more than 26 years since her death, Princess Diana never tires of making history and she has recently broken a shocking record even though she is no longer with us.
Princess Diana breaks an incredible record 26 years after her death
Because it has allowed her to break an unprecedented sales record for some of her clothes, an auction is a clear proof of that.
A sweater worn by Princess Diana was sold at a historic auction at Sotheby’s. In June 1981, just a month before her royal wedding to the king, the princess wore this sweater from the British brand “Warm & Wonderful” during a polo match of Prince Charles.
The red wool sweater with a black sheep worn by the iconic princess has broken records when it was auctioned for $1.1 million, making it the most expensive garment of its kind in history.
The image with the sweater has become very iconic, as the garment would now have a great historical value, as the princess was one of the most characteristic figures and still sets trends and records, enough to fetch more than 1.1 million dollars.
Undoubtedly, this sweater is another demonstration of the great power that the people’s princess still has and the love that people have for her.
What do you think about it? What do you think the dynamics of British royalty would be like if Princess Diana were alive?
