The 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company is very close, and two exciting projects will arrive in celebration. One will be a new film titled ‘Wish: The Power of Wishes‘, a story closely linked to the elements that characterize the legendary production company.
In addition, it will also be celebrated with the arrival of a short film titled ‘One Upon a Studio‘, which has been cataloged as the biggest crossover in history, because it brings together 543 Disney characters, coming to life in the iconic facilities of the recording studio in order to take a family photo for this occasion.
The short film, which was already presented at the Annecy festival, was directed by Dan Abraham and Trent Correy in which they show a mix between animation and real life that captivates the viewer. These characters will return in their original version as well as with their original voices.
For this they had more than 40 actors and actresses who returned to give life to these iconic characters, as was the case of the sisters from ‘Frozen‘, Kristen Bell playing Anna and Idina Menzel playing Elsa. As well as unreleased recordings of Robin Williams as the Genie from ‘Aladdin’ were also recovered.
While ‘Wish’ will premiere on the big screen on November 24th, the short film ‘One Upon a Studio’ will arrive on Disney+ on the same day as the company’s anniversary on October 16th, however the day before it will air on the ABC channel on a program, ‘The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration‘, to commemorate the centenary.
