Taylor Swift tells her United States fans to vote and thousands of them heed the call, find out everything here

Taylor Swift has been non-stop this year between releasing her version of “Speak Now,” touring the globe with “The Eras World Tour,” revisiting her album “1989” and taking home the most important MTV Video Music Awards earlier this year. Still, the “Shake it Off” hit maker has found time to tell her United States fans, known as Swifties, to get up and register to vote in honor of the “National Voter Registration Day” in the American country.

On September 19, the singer-songwriter took her Instagram stories to tell her followers in the United States to “raise their voices” and register their information to vote in the upcoming elections. The pop superstar has voiced her political opinion since 2018, and has told fans to think carefully about what and who they are voting for. In this way, Taylor Swift stated on her story:

“I’ve been so lucky to see so many of you guys at my US shows recently. I’ve heard you raise your voices, and I know how powerful they are. Make sure you’re ready to use them in our elections this year!”

Upon telling her supporters to register in order to make their voices heard, Vote.org’s communication director, Nick Morrow, affirmed they had an unprecedented number of people ready to be registered.

“Fun fact: after @taylorswift13 posted on Instagram today directing her followers to register to vote on @votedotorg, our site was averaging 13,000 users every 30 minutes,” he affirmed.

After this, Morrow called Taylor Swift a “mastermind” and said her “reputation is very-well earned.” And he was certainly right, because Vote.org revealed they received an astonishing number of 35,252 new registrations on Tuesday this week, marking the biggest amount the organization has had since 2020. All in all, the organization was able to set up 157,041 eligible voters, with thousands of 18-year-olds registering on the site.

With this, Taylor Swift gets to have another record in her pocket, which now adds to breaking ticket sales for movies, concerts, singles and album sales, she has now made a registration record after telling her United States fan base to get ready to vote.
