Queen Letizia of Spain has surprised the population of Europe by recently becoming the most influential member of European royalty on the entire continent, thus surpassing the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, who disappointed many with a recent action.
This year 2023, members of European royalty have been very present in different activities, including the legendary coronation of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, in addition to the visit of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, among other rulers and leaders to the continent.
However, there was a recent and important event that took place in Australia and that was characterized as being the decisive one in this struggle for influence, it was the final of the Women’s World Cup Soccer, where the teams of Spain and England faced each other, so both female royal figures were expected to attend.
For her part, Queen Letizia attended in the company of her youngest daughter, Infanta Sofia, earning the support of the public as she was present for the team from her country. While Middleton and her husband Prince William decided not to attend, they got the public’s displeasure in return.
This action cost the British couple a decrease in their popularity and influence in the United Kingdom as well as throughout the European continent, even more so considering that the Prince of Wales is the president of the English football association, being accused of “deplorable” and “sexist” because it was the female group.
