BTS’ SUGA, confirms military service enlistment date

The most difficult moment for the army is coming and one more BTS member is ready to join the military service. Military service is a military training that young South Koreans undergo to be prepared in case of war.

BTS’s Suga, one of the most beloved members of the k-pop band, is reportedly ready to join his mandatory Korean military service and even has his official enlistment date.

BigHit announced through Weverse that Min Yoon-Gi, also known as SUGA of BTS, will join the military service in the future.

“We would like to thank the fans who always love BTS and would like to provide follow-up information about SUGA’s military service,” the letter begins.

Recall that military service is only mandatory for young men; women are not. The Korean War took place between 1950 and 1953 and pitted communist and capitalist sides against each other. After the war, the territory was divided into what is now known as North and South Korea.

However, the war in Korea did not end definitively, as a cease-fire was agreed upon, which means that both countries are still in armed conflict. Consequently, it is necessary to perform military service in both countries to be ready in case war breaks out again.

Regarding the date of when the artist will take part in military service is from September 22, indicating that he has only a few days to finish his preparation and enlist.
