News has come to light for ‘Stranger Things‘ fans, who are eagerly awaiting the fifth season of this series, starring Millie Bobby Brown, that has been a complete success on the renowned streaming platform Netflix, even breaking audience records.
Amid the expectations for the next and final installment of this science fiction project from 2016, the director Shawn Levy has decided to share an important update with fans of the series, which would be divided between good and bad news.
Firstly, the good news would be that Levy has explained that this new installment would be like any cinema blockbuster, and he hopes it will be treated as such by viewers.
“There is no way to be contiguous with season 4 and, frankly, not expand the scale and depth. ‘Stranger Things 5’ will be as big as any movie and I hope it is treated that way“, the director said.
On the other hand, the bad news is related to its release date, and it is that apparently due to the Hollywood strike of writers and actors, the production has been delayed, as many projects in the United States have experienced currently.
For this reason, it was announced that the premiere of this long-awaited season, which was scheduled to be in the year 2024, will be changed to sometime in the year 2025, a long time for fans who are already waiting for this continuation that would put an end to this history.
