Shakira has lost yet again another family battle against Gerard Piqué and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Martí. It looks like the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer has never been able to earn a soft spot in the hearts of her inlaws, back when she lived in Spain.
Recently, new footage, showing some family vacation photos of the former soccer player, his girlfriend, and his family together was revealed. In these pictures, both Piqué’s mom and his partner seem to be having a great time at the beach.
About this, some Spanish media outlets have assured that Clara Chia can now be spotted with his boyfriend’s family as the paparazzi attempt to get a photo of the family. Apparently, this shows a “victory” the young woman has in comparison with Shakira, who was never able to get along that well with her inlaws.
“Clara Chía wants to prove to everybody that her mother-in-law does love her, and proof of this is the pictures that were taken as they were on a family vacation. Clara feels very happy to get along with her mother-in-law, Montserrat Bernabéu,” according to El Heraldo USA.
The press and media outlets in Spain have assured Shakira is totally defeated, as she was never able to have a cordial relationship with her ex-husband’s family, which is the opposite of what Clara Chía has achieved in such a short time.
“Gerard Piqué’s mom never agreed with his son dating Shakira, so that’s the reason why Clara Chía was able to get the approval the singer never had from the former player’s household,” according to el Tiempo newspaper.
After the “Waka Waka” superstar divorced Gerard Piqué, she left her house in Spain and flew to Miami, United States with her two children. The Latin American icon was able to begin a new chapter in her life and has also seen huge commercial success, to the point where she was given the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards 2023.
