In recent days Jungkook, from the famous boy group BTS, was a trend on social networks when he showed himself smoking a cigarette in the streets of the United States, however what has attracted the most attention were some old statements by the idol where he contradicted the actions he is taking these days.
When the controversial images of Golden Maknae smoking went viral, images of an interview also began to surface in which the South Korean singer stated that he hated cigarettes, and even left a message for his father to stop this habit.
“I want to hurry up and become an adult. When you’re an adult you may like drink and smoke cigarettes and stuff but… my father smokes too, and I really hate it“, the idol said.
“Dad! Please stop smoking. It’s not good for your lungs. Either buy an e-cigarette or quit smoking. Afterwards, it will be like poison and accumulate in your body. I hope when you watch this episode you quit smoking“.
Following the resurgence of these statements, many fans have come out against the BTS member saying: “Your words have no validity… this is disappointing“, “You can’t say you hate cigarettes and then go around smoking“, “Preach, but it doesn’t apply… Incredible“, “Your father is sure very proud now“.
On the other hand, another part of his fans have defended Jungkook, claiming that he was just a child and that after so many years things can change, even with the stress and problems that his profession can bring.
