Netflix is well-known for testing numerous shows and movies that end up being canceled because of the low acceptance of the general public or movie critics. However, they have canceled several series without any explanation and they are trying to give back shows that promise to be a resounding success.
‘Warrior Nun’ premiered on July 2, 2020, and lasted for two seasons before it was canceled without any previous warning. The series met both critical and public acclaim and caused a commotion after it was not renewed for a third season.
Thousands of Internet users were complaining on social media because of the show’s cancelation and showed their outrage stating they should not cancel shows that are incredible with the hashtag #SaveWarriorNun
Warrior Nun’s creator, Simon Barry, discussed on X on June 28 the revival of the series which led to numerous speculations that Netflix might not be the household of the future projects from the creator.
Executive producer, Dean English, announced through a statement on the official website that the series will return as a trilogy of feature films, but he couldn’t give any date because of the current 2023 SAG-AFTRA Strike. “You guys have made me very very proud through all your hard work and inspired me all the time to keep going.”
