AMC announces disappointing news for ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ fandom

After the successful reception of the spin-off series, ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City‘, with a huge number of views just days after it premiered on June 18th of this year 2023, the series ended its broadcast and announcement the launch of a second season, however not everything was joy for its fans.

The series that became one of the most successful on AMC+, tells the adventures of the characters Maggie and Negan, from the original series ‘The Walking Dead‘, when they travel to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan with the aim of recovering Hershel, the kidnapped son of this woman.

With a production of only 6 chapters in total, this story managed to captivate its viewers and lovers of the most famous zombie universe in the industry, so the executives decided to continue with this story by confirming a second season.

Although this news excited fans, some time later they were disappointed when it was reported that this production would have to be delayed due to the strikes of actors and writers in Hollywood, which means that they now have to wait longer to see Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing their iconic roles.

However, a few days ago it was also revealed that there will be two AMC productions that will continue their development, which could raise the spirits of fans of this zombie franchise. These are ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon‘ and ‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live‘, which focuses on Rick Grimes and his partner Michonne.
