The villain’s character first debuted in Doctor Strange in 2016, being played as a giant interdimensional being of great power who was only discovered in the dark dimension at the end of the film and possesses superior strength to Thanos.

The presence of Denzel Washington in this pivotal role at Marvel indicates that, along with the events that occurred in Multiverse Madness, the third Doctor Strange film will focus on an exploration into the dark dimension led by this supervillain.
