Two of KPop’s most sensational groups, BLACKPINK (a group of 4 talented young ladies) and TXT (a quintet of great performers) are facing off on a social media race. And what is the prize? Both juggernauts will be competing for the “Best Group of the Year” title in the United States, specifically for the MTV Video Music Awards 2023.
On one hand, Kpop enthusiasts know very well that BLACKPINk has topped both the Kpop charts and the international rankings thanks to their catchy songs, breathtaking performances and amazing videos. Thanks to this, the 4-piece girl group has been able to tour the globe and sellout stadiums and arenas across every city they visit. On the other hand, TXT is hot on their trail and has consistently been getting fans on all over the world thanks to their sticky hits and youth-centric concepts. As the successors of BTS, they are certainly on the right track to become just as big as their label mates!
Both bands, equally adored and celebrated in the Kpop and general music realm, are now facing off each other for the “Group of the Year” award at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2023. It all started with an Instagram showdown in which other nominees including popular groups SEVENTEEN, NewJeans, and FIFTY FIFTY were also battling for the important award. However, only BLACKPINK and TXT have made out alive and were able to beat all their competitors, making this fight a 1 vs 1 for fans.
As of now, the choice is on Kpop enthusiasts and the fans of each group. They can vote by going to MTV’s Instagram story and select their favorite one to get the award. With this, the public will be deciding which of these two powerhouse groups will ultimately wear the crown of “The Best Group of the Year 2023” in a unique fan showdown like no other.
