Stray Kids are one of the biggest K-pop groups to date, and they have taken the world by storm with its latest release “S-Class” and the album that contains this track, “5 STAR.” Due to this, it is no surprise that other bands and groups attempt to collaborate with the K-pop juggernauts. This time fans have been waiting for a collaboration between the 8-piece boy band and the Australian band Chase Atlantic, which was supposed to come this year, but it appears to be that these plans have not come to a favorable conclusion.
Rumors started when Stray Kids member, Bang Chang, decided to greet the Chase Atlantic band while filming an episode of Chan’s Room. During this episode, the 25-year-old praised Chase Atlantic and talked about their song “Slow Down.” He affirmed that the track was really good and said he would like to sing with them because they are Australians, like he is.
Following these revelations, Stray Kids fans (also known as STAY) took X, formerly known as Twitter, to tell the Australian band that Bang Chang was willing to collaborate with them. After this, Christian Anthony (one of the band members) replied to these messages and sent Bang Chang some love with intentions of collaborating with them some time in the future.
However, hopes about the two bands coming together came two an end at a recent Chase Atlantic show. As the band was interacting with the audience, one of the concert-goers asked about the possible collaboration with Stray Kids. Unfortunately, Christian responded that “I sent them a message but they never reached out. If they ever reached out, I would love to collab.” He later affirmed that this collaboration would be more beneficial for Chase Atlantic than for the South Korean group.
As a result, the video went to the edge of becoming viral and social media users started affirming that Stray Kids were no longer humble. In response, STAY quickly defended the boy band saying that JYP Entertainment would be the one to blame, since this South Korean company is in charge of representing Stray Kids and have the most important word regarding collaborators for the group.
