On September 2, the prestigious French newspaper Le Parisien harshly criticized BLACKPINK and their show in Paris last July.

Le Parisien of France published a list reviewing all the concerts held at the State De France and Paris La Défense Arena during last summer. The newspaper assured that the list was made in an objective manner, but the most hurt by their statements were the kpop idols.

Le Parisien claimed that BLACKPINK’s July 15 concert was the worst among all the international acts performing in the country. The newspaper revealed that they gave the group the lowest position on their list because of the poor quality of their show.

“Just because the audience filled the State De France (venue) doesn’t mean the performance was good. What we thought after leaving BLACKPINK’s concert was that the choreography was too manual and the members often walked in front of each other due to lack of communication.”

“In the middle of the last part of the concert, Jennie suddenly left the stage and the remaining members, in disbelief, began shouting out signs held by the audience. This was not a performance befitting the popularity of the young Korean girls.”
