Netflix’s Heartstopper might be canceled for season 3

Heartstopper has become a global phenomenon since it first premiered on Netflix a few years ago. Thanks to this, the streaming platform released its second season a few weeks ago with great success. As a result, fans have already started thinking about a third season coming up for the series.

Unfortunately, the popular LGBTI romance series might not reach a continuation for season two. At present, there are some situations that might make it difficult for the streaming platform to premiere another Heartstopper season.

Fans have started fearing a potential cancelation of the series, as the ongoing writers and actors strike in the United States could reach the United Kingdom and potentially interrupt the production of Hearstopper 3.

Additionally, Netflix has a history of leaving its series abandoned halfway through its run, so it would not be the first time that the streaming service turned its back on one of its products. Due to this, fans feel scared that this destiny might apply to the electrifying love story between Nick and Charlie.

In spite of these speculations, some producers have already confirmed that there is a new script for season three in the works. Still, fans are feeling confused because there has not been any official announcement regarding a premiere date for the series yet.

As the scriptwriters and actors strike keeps moving forward, the possibility of finding writers to start working on the series is declining. For this reason, it would not be surprising to think that Netflix could end up leaving Heartstopper aside.
