V, from the renowned boy group BTS, is in the middle of a recent controversy after the idol allegedly mentioned the ‘N-word’ during a live broadcast watched by millions of fans, causing heated debates between ARMYs and netizens on social networks.
The controversy began when in V’s live on the Weverse platform, the idol surprised his viewers by apparently singing and pronouncing this word while ASAP Rocky‘s ‘RIOT‘ was playing, causing the singer to receive hundreds of criticisms and accusations of racism.
In the middle of his interaction with his fans, Taehyung shared with them some things that he did in the course of his day, and then played the songs ‘Beat The P*** and Up‘ by Young Jeezy, YG, T.I. and A$AP Rocky’s ‘RIOT’ as he continued to talk to viewers about him.
It is a reality that African-American rappers often say the ‘N-word’ in their songs, so it was not a surprise when ‘RIOT’ said this, however what caused controversy was if the idol had also mentioned the word while singing this theme.
Although it was evident that the idol was in tune with much of this ASAP Rocky song, it could be seen that when the rapper said this word, the idol only moved his lips a little, which seemed like he knew that saying this word in middle of his interaction would be a big mistake.

On social networks, fans and netizens continue to debate the controversy, where some claim that the idol intended to say the controversial word, while others defend the idol, claiming that it is just a musical theme that many have sung.
