The Last Of Us’ universe could expand following Marvel and DC’s lead

The Last of Us would have come to stay, since everything would indicate that a series as it is now would not be enough and could have a whole universe that would have great relevance in the entertainment industry, and thus, follow the example of other monsters in the industry such as Marvel and DC.

HBO presented a series based on a video game of the same name, Last of Us quickly became a global icon due to the wonderful story and characters that quickly enamored the social networks, but this has been so shocking, that apparently the universe of creatures and post-apocalyptic universe, could be expanded in a big way.

Fans of the plot began to highlight the possibility that the series will go even further than a second season, perhaps a couple of chronological movies, and all because Craig Mazin, did not rule out the idea of continuing to expand the story of these two iconic characters of the video game.

In an interview with ‘The Wrap’, Craig Mazin, spoke about the possibilities of expanding the universe of ‘The Last of Us’, with new characters after Joel and Ellie, however, the showrunner also clarified that although it is possible, it is not yet within their plans in the short or medium term, but left open the possibility in the long term.

Although much of the success of the series was due to the accurate interpretation of the original plot of the video game, the idea of continuing the story through new television or film projects, as Marvel and DC have done, has been quite liked.
