In recent days, Jungkook, a member of the boy group BTS, has been receiving a lot of criticism from various fandoms and netizens on social media, after a K-Pop producer accused him of plagiarizing in his recent solo song titled ‘SEVEN‘.
This controversy has gone viral thanks to the South Korean entertainment pages and media that have shared the event, that even the agency behind the idol and his famous musical group, ‘Big Hit Music‘, has issued a statement about it.
The well-known producer Yang Joon Young, recently claimed that Jungkook’s theme was plagiarized from his project titled ‘Time of Mask‘ with Fin.K.L., who began to be heavily harassed by fans of BTS’ Golden Maknae, who defend the solo work of his idol.
Later, on August 22nd, the agency behind Jungkook decided to respond to such controversy and the strong accusations from the producer in a statement to the media ‘Star News‘ saying the following:
“We would like to reveal that the accusations that Jungkook’s ‘Seven’ was plagiarized are false. ‘Seven’ was made thanks to the collaboration of five international producers and has no relation to the song that is part of a national album 24 years old. The accusations are one-sided and the song does not meet any criteria that are used to judge plagiarism“.
This statement from the record company calmed the controversy that was on social networks, however there are multiple fan pages and media that continue to spread false rumors based on these accusations.
