‘Blue Beetle’ dethrones ‘Barbie’ as United States’ most successful movie

Although from day one of its premiere ‘Barbie‘ was a resounding success, which could even become the highest grossing film this year, it was surpassed by another Warner production titled ‘Blue Beetle‘ in the United States, this being an audience very big and important.

On August 18th, the new Warner production together with the DC superhero franchise was premiered, in which they welcomed a new superhero to the big screen, ‘Blue Beetle’, which had a good start at the box office with approximately 3.3 million dollars worldwide.

From this, experts began to make comparisons between this superhero movie with the Mattel doll movie, alleging that this new installment could be seen more in the United States and so it was, ‘Blue Beetle’ dethroned ‘Barbie’ by become the most successful movie in the American country.

This great achievement is due to the fact that the DC superhero raised an approximate of 25.4 million dollars, while the plastic doll movie obtained 21.5 million dollars in what would be its last week at the box office, giving  the advantage to the beetle film.

This unexpected achievement pleasantly surprised the producer, Warner and DC, who expected this to be the film that would take the partnership forward after the recent failures of ‘Shazam 2‘ and ‘The Flash‘ this year 2023, so it is expected that the film will continue to gain success throughout its run at the global box office.
