Michael Cera reveals that he almost lost the role in the Barbie movie.
Even though the Barbie movie is several weeks away from its premiere, there is still news coming out today that Michael Cera, who plays the role of Alan in the new hit Barbie movie, was about to lose the role that could mean something important in his career.
Recently it was known that even important actors like Timothée Chalamet were sad for not being able to be part of the returned universe even though they had a role offered in the movie but now it is Cano’s best friend Alan himself who would have gone through a circumstance out of this viral movie.
“Allan” is the Mattel doll, friend of “Barbie” and “Ken“, and who was also the boyfriend of Midge, one of the friends of the famous Mattel doll. His role in this movie undoubtedly caused much joy and smiles in the fans for the fun character and performance he was given, however, recently it has been known that he almost lost his role.
According to Michael Cera himself in an interview with GQ, he learned that he had been called by Greta Gerwig’s staff, director of the film, to play the role, but that his manager had replied that he might not want to play the part because he had to go to London.
Immediately the actor explained that he told his manager, “What, what do you mean, let’s call her back?” and relates that he immediately called Greta to explain what happened. “I mean, he didn’t ruin anything, but he said ‘manage her expectations that you might not want to do it’ and I was like how could I not do it,’ and I actually needed to do it,” Cera explained.
