This August 17th, social networks have been shocked to reveal that the Miss Universe organization is offering tourist trips for not having enough money for the logistics involved in the renowned beauty contest, due to allegedly having lost significant sponsorships.
In the last few hours, it was revealed through Twitter that the famous Miss Universe organization and its owner, Anne Jakrajutatip, are offering tourist travel packages of 10,000 dollars that allow them to raise money for this year’s renowned event.
The next edition of the beauty contest will take place on November 18th in El Salvador, and it is at this new venue where the event organizers are offering the public a travel package, which includes:
Tickets to the preliminary and final of the beauty competition, walks, lunch and dinner with the owner of the Miss Universe organization, Anne Jakrajutatip, and the outgoing Miss Universe, which would be R’Bonney Gabriel.
As a result of the announcement of the package and its price, numerous criticisms and mocks have arisen, where they have also accused Jakrajutatip of being interested only in the economic purposes of the prestigious event, which has lost its previous sponsorships.
This new controversy of the initiative could further damage the image of the pageant, which has already been tarnished by previous rumors of fraud in the last edition and the recent lawsuits for sexual abuse of several candidates against Miss Universe Indonesia.
