The Weeknd has become a musical reference over the years with his undeniable talent and global hits, despite his short journey in the music industry. However, he recently announced his official retirement from music which sparked controversy among his fans.

The unexpected news caused a commotion among his fans who didn’t expect he was going to retire after 13 years of being active in the music industry and his latest tour ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ might be the last.

The Canadian artist expressed his thoughts during  the performance of ‘Another One of Me’ and claimed this was the last song he recorded, indicating he is going to quit music after the last date from his acclaimed world tour. This might be the opportunity for Abel to keep in the cinematography industry after working on HBO’s show, ‘The Idol.’

Despite the mixed reviews from ‘The Idol’ the singer might be involved in numerous projects as an actor or creator, leaving the music industry once and for all. The Weeknd strongly believes this is a sign to start a new phase in his life to expand his creative persona and involve in art further than music.
