BTS’ Jungkook met success and critical acclaim with his first solo song, demonstrating the great influence he has around the world. The Idol has not gone to break numerous records and this time around he surpassed the South Korean group, BLACKPINK.
The Golden Maknae released his first solo song ‘Seven’ featuring Latto on July 14 and since then he is thriving on every platform and breaking several records both in the American and global markets. Recently, Jungkook surpassed BLACKPINK in monthly Spotify listeners within only one month of his song being released.
The South Korean artist reached a peak of 34.4 Million monthly Spotify listeners surpassing BLACKPINK with 31.1 Million monthly listeners making his way into the top 3 of the most listened-to K-Pop acts in history.
It is expected that Jungkook’s number of listeners keeps rising and might be surpassing BTS’ monthly listeners, which is set at 47 million listeners after he releases his debut album. Jungkook has demonstrated he devoured the competition with ease and is becoming one of the favorites of the American and Global market.
