It has always been known that the royal family is very close, but it is not known to what degree, since according to media reports, Kate Middleton and Prince William are apparently distant cousins.
Princess Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William, have been a couple for years.
William have already been a couple for years and have had a family that has endured together and with love, but now, according to what has been known, the iconic royal couple would be closer than ever, as it seems that both would be within the same family, being these distant cousins.
An article published by the English newspaper Daily Mail revealed which were Kate’s ancestors and that link her to the royals. Most of her ancestors were humble miners who worked in coal mines in the north of England. Most of the places they were in belonged to the Queen Mother, and it is even thought that they were originally from the Middleton family, the paternal family of the princess.
The relative who would unite Kate’s family with the royal family is named William Blakiston, and was an owner of an extensive estate in Northumberland County in the north of the country. His eldest son inherited the estate and his youngest son inherited the coal mines.
From there, there is speculation that the Princess of Wales could be a distant cousin of her new husband. Of course, this has only remained a theory and there is no way to confirm that the two are distant relatives.
