Mark Margolis actor of ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Scarface’ dies at the age of 83

Sad news has flooded the entertainment industry, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, August 4th, the renowned American actor Mark Margolis died at the age of 85 last Thursday at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

It was the son of the acclaimed interpreter, Morgan Margolis, who broke the news to the media and fans around the world, and who also revealed that the cause of his death was a disease he had been suffering some time ago.

The important actor’s first acting class was at the age of 14, and after a few years he moved to New York to study theater with actress Stella Adler at The Actors Studio, of which actor Al Pacino is currently co-director, these being his first steps following his acting passion.

The executive director of Knitting Factory Entertainment began his career in the world of film and television in the seventies with his participation in productions such as ‘Going in Style‘ or ‘Dressed to Kill‘. However, it is a fact that one of the roles that brought him fame was that of the villain and bodyguard Alberto ‘The Shadow’ in ‘Scarface‘.

Years after achieving an extensive professional career, the actor returned to the peak of his popularity with his participation in the famous Netflix series ‘Breaking Bad‘ and ‘Better Call Saul‘, with the incredible interpretation of the character Héctor Salamanca who got him his first nomination at the Emmys in 2012.
