During an interview with ‘Screen Rant’, Jeff Wamester, Jim Krieg and Butch Lekic, producers of Justice League: Warworld, confirmed that because of James Gunn, the development of the Kingdom Come movie, a film that DC Comics fans have been looking forward to, was prevented from going ahead.
“We originally discussed working on ‘Kingdom Come’ right after we finished ‘Justice League: Warworld’. But with the change of regime at DC Studios and the arrival of James Gunn, we were unable to move forward with the project,” revealed Butch Lekic. Kingdom Come tells the story of an alternate universe that focuses on the new generation of superheroes who take control of the world’s security after the classic heroes retire, but not everything will be the same, as these young superheroes do not have the same values as the previous generation.
