Zendaya took to Instagram to speak about the passing of her co-protagonist, Angus Cloud, who played her best friend in the HBO series ‘Euphoria’, which had already confirmed a third season and was reportedly close to start filming with both of them taking on their roles.
The actor passed away yesterday afternoon at the age of 25, saddening the fans of the series and his co-workers on set, most of whom have posted about the passing on social media. Though the official cause of death has not been confirmed, the family released a statement mentioning that Cloud was having a very hard time with the death of his father, who he was really close with and had passed away just a few days prior.
Zendaya has just now released a statement on her Instagram account, remembering the actor for his humor and his joyful personality, while also asking for privacy during this time. The post included a picture of the actor, and it has already gathered more than 4 million likes from users on the app.
The future of the series is now uncertain as neither HBO nor the writer have released a statement about what’s to come for the hit series, instead, they posted about the saddening news. Here’s the complete statement released by Zendaya.
“Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor). I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it) I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…“they could light up any room they entered” but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it. I’d like to remember him that way. For all of the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment.
My heart is with his mother and family at this time and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone.” –Zendaya
