Recently, the British Crown and the Buckingham Palace have been criticized because they have flatly eliminated the name of the actress Meghan Markle in the birth certificate of Prince Archie, her and Prince Harry‘s son.
After this couple decided to leave the royalty, they have undoubtedly had many controversies around them, such as the cancellation of the contract they had with the music platform Spotify, where they had one of the most successful podcasts, as well as the recent news that Prince Harry’s accusation against the British media has been completely annulled.
However, it has now come to light that Buckingham Palace decided to remove Meghan Markle’s name from Prince Archie’s birth certificate. Originally, the document had the name “Rachel Meghan“, however now the document has been edited and it can be read that the child’s mother has the name: “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex“.
The curious thing about this fact is that on the birth certificate of her two-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet Diana, Meghan’s name has not been changed and remains the original, “Rachel Meghan Markle“, without mentioning any of her royal titles. Besides that, Meghan’s name was the only one that changed due to the fact that no changes to Prince Harry’s names have been reported.
Although it has been reported that for the names of royal members to be included in official documents there is no specific rule, supporters of the British Crown have claimed that this would be a new act of contempt against the Duchess of Sussex.
