Zendaya is well known for being one of the most talented actresses in the Hollywood industry after her critical acclaim role in HBO’s ‘Euphoria’. Following the success of the series, she was announced in the star-studded cast ‘Challengers’ in February 2022 and became one of the most awaited movies of 2023. However, it doesn’t have a release date yet.
The movie, directed by Luca Guadagine, was set to be premiered on September 15, but it was reported that ‘Challengers’ would not be presented in the 80th Venice International Film Festival that kicks off on August 30. Because of this, the movie will be pushed forward to the next year.
According to international media outlets, the main reason behind the uncertainty of the release is the current 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, which could go further after there has not been any agreement between the two parties involved. The unfortunate news made Zendaya’s fans sad, as they were eagerly waiting to see another facet of the American actress.
In addition, there has not been any statement released either by Amazon Studios or Warner Bros regarding a new date release for Challengers. So it is expected they finally unveil any date once the SAG-AFTRA strike is lifted. This issue has caused numerous delays in the movie, creating a whole challenge for Zendaya and the production.
