Christopher Nolan explained why his daughter had to be part of ‘Oppenheimer’

Following the release of the long-awaited film ‘Oppenheimer‘ by the famous director Christopher Nolan, which has been a success in theaters around the world and has been described by its viewers as a work of art that has captivated the public.

An issue that has caused great controversy on social networks has been that despite this production having a praised cast of important actors in the industry, the director has chosen his daughter Flora Nolan to be part of a shocking scene in the new film.

This would not be the first time that the young woman has made an appearance in one of her father’s films, since she also participated in the famous film ‘Interstellar‘, however this time she had such an impressive role that the renowned director had to explain the reason for this choice.

We needed a person to do a little scene where we wanted to show a sequence of something strong and experimental“, he told Thelegraph.

The scene played by Flora Nolan was labeled in the script as ‘burning victim’, as this character was used to test the force and devastation of the atomic bomb blast, letting the piercing white light rip the flesh off her face“.

Christopher Nolan also commented that he likes to analyze his own intentions in the movies and for this reason, when telling the story of a highly destructive artifact, he wanted to show how it could end the lives of loved ones and close ones with the participation of his daughter.
