After more than 18 months of post-production, it seems that there is still more and more news about the Aquaman sequel, which has been a long time coming, especially now with the problems that are happening in Hollywood with the strikes. Ben Affleck and his Batman no longer appear in Aquaman 2.
First it was the unhappy people of Amber Heard as Mera, then the dramas that have arisen around DC and now people had the news that Ben Affleck will not appear in the sequel to the movie starring Jason Momoa, since they removed all his scenes.
The film was going to feature the appearance of the Bruce Wayne that Affleck has been playing since ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’. But now, they have finally let it be known that this will not happen. Warner has decided to eliminate each and every one of Batman’s appearances, so the two-time Oscar winner is out of Aquaman 2.
All this points to the fact that James Gunn and Safran, as leaders of DC Studios, have lost confidence in scenes that anticipate a future in DC that they already consider defused and with little potential. Therefore, they have made the final decision to exclude the superhero from the film’s plot.
It is not yet known exactly what will happen with this film due to the modifications that are being made in the company, even if it is not yet known if Amber Heard will continue to be part of the film or not.
