Tom Holland rose to fame after he played the role of Spiderman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and received a lot of praise for his immense talent and charismatic attitude. However, he recently opened up about his concerns regarding a new Spiderman trilogy which led to many fans speculating about him quitting the MCU.
On July 11, the British actor openly spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about his alcohol addiction and how it affected his life. Although he mentioned that he has been sober since September of 2022, he still has several concerns in regards to his career and a new Spiderman trilogy.
“I think we found the reason why. I’m really, really happy with where we’re at regarding the creative. But I’m also a little apprehensive about it. There’s a bit of a stigma about the fourth one in all franchises. I feel like we hit a home run with our first franchise and there’s a part of me that wants to walk away with my head held high and pass the baton to the next lucky kid that gets to bring this character to life.”
As of today, neither Tom Holland nor Marvel Studios have made the actors’ return as Spiderman official although there are reports that they signed a new deal at the end of 2022. After his comments, his fans are worried about his future in the franchise but it is safe to assume that he will play Spiderman again in the future.
