As it is already known, actors and screenwriters in Hollywood are on strike, so the activities related to the film industry has been strongly affected, but apparently, this would not be any impediment for Disney to carry out its red carpet celebration, a method that generated anger and indignation through social networks, since the company mocked in an implicit way.
With or without actors, Disney executives decided to present the red carpet for the movie ‘Haunted Mansion‘, which was held at Disneyland without the presence of any of its actors, causing thousands of users to strongly criticize the methods they were employing to not support the cause of the striking unions.
Even many media assured that there were better ways to “make a fool of themselves“, and this was taken as an offense and mockery to all the actors and screenwriters who are currently protesting for improvements in their work.
Disney thought it would be a great idea to parade several of its Disneyland characters on the red carpet, blatantly mocking the actors and screenwriters.
To workers who are normally seen wandering around the vast areas of the theme parks, this was the way the movie giant decided to use to “replace” the actors who obviously did not attend the event to support the causes of the protesters.
Characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Cruella de Vil or Maleficent, were some of the characters that could be seen in the Disney “red carpet”, replacing Tiffany Haddish, LaKeith Stanfield, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Jamie Lee Curtis or any actor of the cast of the film. Fans have pointed to this event as ridiculous and outrageous, with Disney making a mockery of people protesting to improve their lives.
