Oppenheimer prompted actor to cancel retirement

Oppenheimer shows us a whole world of possibilities and places us historically in one of the most intense moments of humanity. Thanks to the director’s vision, intriguing story and screenplay, Oppenheimer prompted the actor to cancel his retirement.

On July 20, one of the most eagerly awaited films of recent times, about the father of the atomic bomb, will be released.

Apparently, this film would be so emblematic that it even provoked a well-known actor not to miss the opportunity to work alongside Nolan.

It is the renowned actor Matt Damon, who decided to put aside his retirement or pause he had planned to make in his acting career to be part of the Oppenheimer team. According to Entertainment Weebly, Matt confessed that he had planned a temporary retirement until he received the call from the director to offer him the role of J. Robert Oppenheimer, however, this role ended up being played by Cillian and he ended up playing General Leslie Groves Jr, who also has an important role in this film.

“This will sound very strange, but I had to negotiate with my wife to let me participate in this story, since the only way I would leave my retirement would be to work with Christopher Nolan, and so it was, I got her call and we started shooting. It’s weird that it’s like that, but that’s his way of hiring you, you never know what he’s working on, he just calls you and offers you something.”

Revealed the actor in the interview. It is clear that he is very happy to work with the director he has known for a long time, as he has worked with him for “Interstellar”, and he himself knows the great things he can do.
