The popular British actor Tom Holland, known worldwide for being the protagonist of the current Spider-man saga, has received several homophobic criticisms after a gay scene in his new series ‘The Crowded Room‘, where he is the protagonist of the plot, went viral. However, his fans have not left him alone and have come out to defend him from the detractors.
Last weekend, the internet world was quite active with the eighth chapter of the series ‘The Crowded Room’, where Tom Holland grabbed the attention by starring in a dramatic gay scene that has left more than one in shock.
However, and as expected, the scene has left endless mockery and homophobic criticism from the conservative public, where even claim that they are no longer “Spider-man fans after this scene“.
Nevertheless, fans of the British actor have come to the defense of his difficult character. They have done so with solid arguments that quantify that these people have no idea what it means to be a professional actor.
“So many cheesy, homophobic comments disguised as jokes about clips from Tom Holland’s new project. Really grow up, there are too many people being ignorant here“.

Derogatory comments, taunts, videos, massive hate threads, were just some of the complaints from the homophobic sector that was criticizing Tom’s performance in ‘The Crowed Room’.
The series, currently airing on the Apple TV+ platform, is inspired by the true story of Billy Milligan, who became the first person to be acquitted of a crime because of dissociative identity disorder.

The psychological thriller, which has received some negative reviews, follows Danny Sullivan (a man based on Milligan and played by Holland) after he is arrested for his involvement in a 1979 shooting in New York.
Tom Holland admitted that he found this role very difficult to execute, so he has made the decision to take a year off, away from film and television projects.
