Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello have split up after 7 years of marriage

For the past few weeks, there had been speculation about the current status of the relationship between Colombian Sofía Vergara and American Joe Manganiello, and according to some fans, the couple was very distant. Well, all those speculations turned out to be true according to the latest report from Page Six.

According to a statement released by the actors themselves through Page Six, they declared the following: “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives“.

A source close to the now ex-couple added: “Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello had been creating a wall between them and growing apart, now they have distanced themselves from each other to contemplate their future alone.”

The last time the couple was seen together was in June when the actress visited her now ex-husband on the set of his new project “Nonnas“, and through social networks, netizens suspected that something was not going well with the marriage, taking into account that a few days ago Vergara spent her 51st birthday without Joe’s company.

Even when it came to congratulate, Manganiello simply posted a “happy birthday Sofia”, as if it were a close friend and not his wife. Of course, Sofía Vergara has looked more radiant than ever during the last few weeks, apparently the separation has been good for her.

According to Manganiello himself detailed a few years ago in an interview with The Jess Cagle Show, a program of SiriusXM radio network, he felt the crush since he first saw Vergara in 2014 during a celebration of the producer of ‘Modern Family‘, two years later they got married, but after 7 years, they have decided to divorce.
