The film ‘Elemental’ breaks records and surpasses ‘Lightyear’ and other productions

The most recent Pixar movie, ‘Elemental‘, has been a topic to talk about on social networks, because despite receiving a lot of interest it was destined to fail by the experts due to being very cliché, since many knew how it would end, however in recent days it has surprised by having a change at the box office.

This new Disney Pixar production tells the story of the elements, following the classic technique of giving life to new things, in this case fire, water, wind, earth and by developing feelings, they experience a series of situations that help them discover they are more alike than they thought.

The film that premiered on June 22nd from the beginning was classified as a total failure due to the opinions of viewers on social networks, but it was a surprise when a few days ago it surpassed the awaited film ‘Lightyear‘, which premiered last year, with its box office collections.

According to recent reports, this new movie doesn’t seem to be a flop as expected as it has grossed an estimated $260.8 million worldwide so far, thus surpassing the famous toy movie ‘Lightyear’ which grossed at the time of $226.4 million.

Another proof of the great success that the animated romantic fantasy film is receiving, that both ‘Elemental’ and ‘The Flash‘ were released on the same day, and so far the first one has surpassed the controversial DC Comics superhero movie.

Important media have affirmed that the Pixar film could approach approximately $400 million in collections, a very good number considering the $200 million of the production cost.
